Strain Origin: Unclear, possibly the Amazon, as the name suggests. PES stock (Pacific Exotica Spora) 

Cap: diameter 25–50 mm, convex to wide convex to plane at maturity, frequently exhibiting a persistently sharp umbo (nipple). Reddish-cinnamon brown with almost white borders that age from golden brown to light yellow. The surface is dry, with no signs of the universal veil remaining on the cap (spots). White flesh that quickly bruises bluish green.

Stem: yellowish, more than 150 mm long. Where there is injury, flesh bruises bluish green. Persistent membrane rings from a partial veil that, when fully grown, becomes covered in purple-brown spores.

Gills: Adnate to annexed attachment. When ripe, the fruit body’s grayish tint turns almost black.

Spores: Dark purplish brown, subellipsoid on 4-spored basidia.
